WHAT TO EXPECT
Set in the tranquil environment of a mountainside retreat in Malaga, Spain, the aim of this workshop is to find a balance between physical learning and relaxation, in an immersive and supportive environment.
Each day will begin with a gentle warm-up, including yoga techniques, followed by conditioning exercises to prepare the body. This will be followed by basic Odissi technique to refresh as well as challenge your mind and body.
A study of some basic Odissi talas and the formation of an arasa (rhythmic sequence) shall also be explored.
These activities shall be interspersed with ample time for reflection and relaxation so that you may enjoy the serenity of the natural environment.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE
This workshop is aimed at adults who already have a basic working knowledge of Odissi. Practitioners from all the various Odissi lineages are welcome.
